She has a son, Braylen, born in 2008.  In her free time she loves spending time with her family and watching movies.  Jennifer has two dogs named King and Kip.  She also has two cats, Dakota and Alvin.

Robert Bashara in all areas of veterinary medicine and has been promoted within the company several times.  Her current position charges her with managing our entire technical staff, inventory control, assisting in unique surgeries and other management duties related to the technical staff.

They also have one dog Odin, as well as a cat named Clark. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the lake and spending weekends at the family farm.

He is the recipient of the 2018 American Veterinary Medical Association Animal Welfare Award and the 2018 Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine Stange Award for Meritorious Service in Veterinary Medicine.
- [Dr. Peter Bashara](https://gentledoctoranimalhospitals.com/staff-member/dr-peter-bashara/): Dr. Pete Bashara is a 1997 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association and The Nebraska Academy of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Pete Bashara serves on the board of directors for both the Nebraska Humane Society and The Doris Day Animal Foundation as well as maintaining an active membership with the Iowa State University Veterinary Medical Alumni Association. In 2007, Dr. Bashara received the Midwest Business Journal's small businessperson of the year.  In 2009 Dr. Bashara received the Margret H. Durham Volunteer Recognition and in 2017 the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals won the Golden Biscuit Award in support for the Walk for The Animals.  Dr. Bashara and his wife Andrea, an Omaha native, have two children.  They also have three dogs, a cat and a turtle – all rescued from the Nebraska Humane Society. 
- [Dr. Bob Krapfl](https://gentledoctoranimalhospitals.com/staff-member/dr-bob-krapfl/): Dr. Krapfl has been with Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals since the summer of 2000.  After five years of practicing in Las Vegas and Albuquerque, he returned to the Midwest to join the Gentle Doctor team.  A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Krapfl brings experience in ultrasound, endoscopy and medicine to our team.

Dr. Thomassen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nebraska Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband Michael (also a veterinarian) have three sons and two daughters,plus an assortment of 4-legged family members (1 dog, 2 cats, 1 horse, and 2 ponies).
